One of our most popular coffees this year from Costa Rica is Finca Las Lajas in Poas de Alajuela; located in the mountains to the north of the country’s capital. In as little as six years, Las Lajas now produces exceptional micro-lots, especially with their Honey processed coffees.
Las Lajas’ reputation for quality precedes it; the care with which the Chacon family manages their mill and processing has put their Honey and Natural coffees in steep demand. This curiosity and willingness to experiment and find a new level of excellence is apparent in the final product: explosively fruity coffees with complex acidity and a bright finish.
Tasting Notes: We roast this one medium: a rich, full bodied coffee with layers of flavor: soft fruit, caramel, chocolate with good sweetness and wonderful aromatics.
